Schenck Pegasus Corp. located in Troy, MI., is a leading supplier of testing equipment. From automotive facility planning and engineering to research and development, systems integration, turnkey assembly, and production facilities.
The Task: The Facet Company, was looking to create a dynamic looking display for their client Schenck Pegasus for the SAE trade show 2001 at Cobo Center.
The Solution: The Facet Company contacted Advanced Lighting & Sound to provide audio, video and lighting services to Facet for the Schenck Pegasus project. Bob Sullivan, of Advanced Lighting & Sound configured the display design based on the floor plan developed by The Facet Company. Advanced selected twelve inch Universal Manufacturing box truss to frame in the official NASCAR race car , which was the focal point of the display. Next ETC Source 4 pars with Wybron Color Scrollers were mounted at key points on the truss to create a vibrant and dynamic moving look. Shcenck Pegasus supplied the video elements that Advanced transferred to a DVD master for seamless playback through a Pioneer DVDV7400 player. The DVD was then shown continuously during the show on two Fujitsu 4211, 42" Plasma Displays that were mounted back to back using Peerless mounts. For the audio in the display four EAW JF80 speakers were hung from strategic spots on the truss overhead creating a stereo sound field.
